Assisting a Homeless Veteran

LSNV was approached by a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran facing chronic homelessness and food insecurity. He had been denied access to the VA benefits he had earned due to the character of his discharge. LSNV successfully appealed his case, securing not only full access to the benefits he deserved but also a service connection for his Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
This victory included a 100% permanent and total PTSD-rating, along with over $45,000 in retroactive pay. As a result, the Veteran and his family are no longer homeless, and he is now planning a sustainable future for his wife and children
